Hyaluronidases are a family of enzymes that catalyse the degradation of hyaluronic acid (HA). Hyaluronidase can be used to enhance permeation of subcutaneous or intramuscular injections, local anaesthetics and subcutaneous infusions and to promote resorption of excess fluids and blood in the tissues.
